I know that it’s been a while since my last post–and that is because life here has been crazy. With the end of school, dance rehearsal and recital, softball games and a vacation, I have barely had time to think of anything else. Now that we have returned home and things are getting back to normal (jet lag is ALMOST gone), I wanted to share my most recent Las Vegas experience–this time with kids.
I must admit, at first I was skeptical. I mean, come on, this is Vegas we are talking about. What can a 7-year-old possibly find fun there? Surprised as I was, there is a lot for kids to do out there, both on and off the strip!
We saw Mystere, which was fantastic. Not only did we see the Blue Man Group, but we also got pictures with them after the show. That was pretty cool! We rode the gondolas at the Venetian, hung out at the resort pool at Tahiti Village, and ate crab legs to our hearts content at the M Casino. We shopped inside Caesar’s Palace, rode to the top of the Eiffel Tower at Paris and visited the Pawn Stars shop. There is an M&M store too! My daughter loved the glamour and glitz but she also fell in love with the weather and the pool.
After this trip, I must admit that I am sad it took me so long to vacation out there. It definitely is a great family destination. For anyone thinking of taking the kids, I would highly recommend it. Just be sure to take along some friends or grandparents so you can steal a few grown up minutes for yourself as well!
