At the end of every Super Bowl, the MVP proudly stands at the mic and announces that he is, in fact, going to Disney World. And this year’s MVP, Nick Foles, was no exception. (He was in a parade there yesterday: MVP Nick Foles Parade.)
I had heard this proclamation numerous times in my life, but I wasn’t really aware that the players actually did go to Disney–until a few years ago. My family and I were enjoying our stay at the Happiest Place on Earth, and we were lucky enough to watch the Super Bowl in our Key West Villa. It wasn’t until the following morning, on a bus ride over to Hollywood Studios, when we learned that the MVP was actually at Disney–and there was a parade at the Magic Kingdom in his honor. Since my husband’s favorite team had just won, we changed our plans for the day.
I must say, it was pretty cool to be there, cheering on the MVP from the team we were watching win the night before:
Although we haven’t been there for the Super Bowl since, this is definitely one of those trips that we will remember for a lifetime!
